After Anzac to Party

Our duty on Wednesday has been to take Emily to 'Gymbaroo'.
Essentially, the point is tactile learning.
It takes place in the hall of the Methodist Church at Mission Bay.
The session starts with children and their parents/carers for mat-time activities.

After mat-time the children go into a well equipped gym.
Parachute games end the session.
Sharon, who runs the class, is pictured here.
After the session we wanted to go for coffee, but Emily preferred ice-cream. A chill wind had got and we sat in the car to eat our ice-creams. I had liquorice. While we sat in the car a bride and groom went out on the rocks for photographs. It was a lovely setting but the wrong weather. The bride had leggings and trainers hidden under her dress.
On Friday after Kindy we took Emily paint pottery. We went to a workshop called 'Crumbles' in Howick. She did very well; stencilling hearts and applying colour. I now wait for a text to tell us that glazed cupcake jar was ready.

On Saturday morning we all went to the indoor rock climbing  centre. Both girls are doing really well at this. Emily is consistently getting to the top of a climb.

Zoe has graduated from the auto-lower climbs to climbs where her mum is the anchor and responsible for carefully lowering her down at the end of the climb.
Zoe enjoys a game of air hockey especially when granddad ends the game with a losing, home goal.
Emily plays too. I think that her dad was being helpful.
After lunch Irene and I went with Sally hunting for kitchens.

The evening meal was a hot, tasty curry.

Party Day - Sunday 29th April
Already there are sounds of excitement in the camp. There are much goings on above us.

The party started at 10.00 at the 'Fairy Shop'. The chief fairy (the one in purple) led some games and took the party though in to the food area and then left.

Another helper was on hand and bought out and cut the cake.

I think that Emily thoroughly enjoyed her day.

On the way back Ian stopped off to pick up a Vietnamese take away and we had a good lunch.
